You know someone is panicking when they call the office first thing in the morning and are a bit breathless. At the Leavers Hoodies Company, this happens throughout the year. But especially from mid-March for 4 or 5 weeks.
When a school’s leavers hoodie organiser has spoken to one or two hoody printing & embroidery businesses and been told that they are too late to order for the end of the summer term, panic sets in. All garment decoration businesses get busy at certain times of the year. For us, our busiest time is definitely from March through to July. We are popular and hit (or get close to hitting) our capacity a couple of other times in the year too – but the spring is definitely the most active for us. Guaranteed delivery dates
When we can no longer guarantee the delivery date the prospective clients want we have to stop quoting for the business. We depend on our great reputation, year-in and year-out, for on-time delivery. Many, if not most, of our clients, come back year after year. They know the timing necessary to get the hoodie orders in and they help us, and themselves, by doing it as early as they can. We can’t afford to risk sacrificing our good name to ‘help out’ someone who has left it a little late to order the hoodies for their class or school.
Hoodie companies with full order books
You can tell when companies like ours have hit their capacity – the paid online adverts stop. If you check out Google (other search engines do exist and work fine too) you won’t find so many ads for leavers hoodies for a few months from the end of March. We have already cut back our advertising for the next few months because there is little point in spending money attracting enquiries when we might have to turn away any business we might win. Businesses that are still fighting to fill their order books are either new starters in the industry, use 3rd party (probably overseas) companies to do the printing and/or embroidery, or are willing to risk missing their deadlines.
So, is it already too late at the Leavers Hoodies Company?
Well, no—not quite. We have a few production slots left. But, it won’t be long until we have to no-bid new enquiries.
If you want to order leavers hoodies for summer 2022 now is the time. Leaving it any later and you may be disappointed.
